Radio station tunes into new partnership

An eye-catching new car is proving a smash hit with staff at one of the North East’s leading radio stations.
Sun fm 103.4 took delivery of the stylish SEAT Ibiza ST last week as part of a new partnership with sporty Spanish car maker’s Southwick retailer Pulman SEAT.

Wearing the station’s striking blue and white livery, the supermini estate was immediately put to work by reporters covering the latest news and sports stories on Wearside.

But the car will often be seen at the many exciting events attended by Sun fm and its outside broadcast team throughout the year.

Collecting the car from Pulman SEAT, Sun fm breakfast show host, Simon Grundy, admitted he was blown away by just how good it looked.

He said: ‘This car will become a familiar sight on roads across the North East and I’m absolutely sure it will turn heads wherever it goes.’

Simon added: ‘At Sun fm we see ourselves at the heart of the Sunderland and Wearside community and I know Pulman SEAT feels exactly the same way.  That’s what makes this new partnership the station and Pulman SEAT such a strong one.  We both feel passionate for all things Sunderland.’

Presenting the car, Pulman’s Marketing Manager, Natalie Wilson, looked forward to a long and successful relationship.

She said: ‘This new relationship with Sun fm is a perfect fit for both Pulman and SEAT.

‘SEAT is a youthful and dynamic brand with a heavy and growing involvement in the music world as a headline sponsor of the Reading and Leeds festivals, Channel 4’s On Track show and pop star Shakira’s world tour.

‘But this new relationship with Sun fm has been forged on a local level and was born from the common interest in the local community shared by the station and by Pulman. Focusing on delivering a fantastic customer experience.

‘I’m sure staff at the station will love the Ibiza ST and that the car will attract a lot of attention wherever it goes.’
